Dr. Alexander P. Pence was born in Lincolnton, NC. He earned a Bachelors of Arts in Biology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1998. After receiving his bachelor's degree, he worked at the UNC School of Dentistry department of Continuing Education and attended UNC School of Public Health. In the fall of 2000, Alex began the DDS program at UNC Chapel Hill School of Dentistry, and graduated in 2004. After graduation, Alex earned his North Carolina Dental License and began a 12 month residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at UNC Chapel Hill. Following this residency, Dr. Pence joined the practice of Dr. Barry Duncan in Asheville, NC, in August 2005. In March 2008 Dr. Pence officially became a partner of Dr. Duncan/Biltmore Dental Group. Dr. Pence is a member of the American Dental Association and also received his AGD Fellowship in the summer of 2011. He is only one of four in the state of North Carolina to receive this. Alex married in 2002 and his wife's name is Eula (also of Lincolnton, NC). In Dr. Pence's free time, he enjoys playing tennis, traveling, and attending rock concerts.

Dr. Milton Poulos received his undergraduate education from North Carolina State University in 1977 and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1983.

Dr. Poulos is a general dentist and has been practicing in the Asheville area since 1983. He is a member of the American Dental Association, The NC Dental Association, and the Buncombe County Dental Association. During his time away from the office, Dr. Poulos enjoys fishing, traveling, and spending time with his wife and two sons.
